Chronic pain is a prevalent condition affecting millions of individuals worldwide, leading to significant morbidity and reduced quality of life. Traditional pharmacological treatments for chronic pain often come with adverse effects and limited long-term efficacy, prompting a growing interest in alternative therapies such as herbal medicine. This thesis aimed to investigate the efficacy of herbal medicine in managing chronic pain. The study conducted a comprehensive literature review to explore the existing evidence on the use of herbal medicine for chronic pain management. Ten key studies were analyzed, focusing on the types of herbal remedies used, their mechanisms of action, and their reported outcomes in pain management. In the research methodology chapter, a mixed-methods approach was employed, combining a systematic review of literature with a survey of individuals currently using herbal medicine for chronic pain. Data collection methods included questionnaires, interviews, and pain assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of herbal medicine in pain relief.
