Abstract
Cancer remains a significant global health challenge, necessitating the continuous development of innovative therapeutic strategies. Among these strategies, targeted drug delivery systems have emerged as a promising approach to enhance the efficacy and reduce the side effects of cancer treatment. This thesis focuses on the development of a novel drug delivery system tailored for targeted cancer therapy. The aim of this research is to address the limitations of current cancer treatment modalities by designing a system that can specifically target cancer cells while sparing healthy tissues. The introductory chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the rationale behind the study, the background of the research area, the statement of the problem, research objectives, study limitations, scope, significance, and the structure of the thesis. The literature review chapter critically examines existing knowledge on drug delivery systems for cancer therapy, highlighting key advancements, challenges, and opportunities for innovation. The research methodology chapter outlines the experimental design, materials, and methods employed in developing and evaluating the novel drug delivery system. This includes the selection of drug candidates, formulation strategies, in vitro and in vivo testing protocols, data analysis techniques, and ethical considerations.
