Current treatment options for chronic pain often come with limitations such as side effects and inadequate pain relief. The development of novel drug delivery systems offers a promising approach to address these challenges and improve the management of chronic pain. This thesis focuses on investigating and implementing innovative drug delivery technologies to optimize the treatment of chronic pain. The research begins with an extensive review of existing literature on drug delivery systems for chronic pain management. Various aspects such as the types of drug delivery systems, mechanisms of action, and their potential advantages and limitations are critically analyzed. This literature review provides a comprehensive understanding of the current landscape of drug delivery technologies in the context of chronic pain treatment. In the methodology chapter, the research design and methodologies employed in the development and evaluation of novel drug delivery systems are detailed. Key aspects such as formulation development, characterization techniques, in vitro and in vivo studies, and data analysis methods are described. The methodology chapter also outlines the ethical considerations and regulatory requirements that were adhered to throughout the research process.
