Abstract
This thesis presents a comprehensive study on the development and evaluation of novel drug delivery systems aimed at enhancing patient compliance within the healthcare sector. Patient compliance remains a critical issue in the effective management of various health conditions, with non-adherence to prescribed medication regimens leading to suboptimal treatment outcomes and increased healthcare costs. In response to this challenge, the research focuses on the design and assessment of innovative drug delivery technologies that can improve patient adherence and therapeutic efficacy. The introductory chapter provides a detailed overview of the research background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. A thorough literature review in the second chapter examines existing drug delivery systems, highlighting their advantages, limitations, and potential for enhancing patient compliance.
