The rapid advancement of immersive technologies has prompted a growing interest in leveraging virtual reality (VR) to enhance pedagogical outcomes in business education, particularly in the domain of strategic management. Traditional instructional methods often lack the practical engagement necessary to develop complex decision-making skills required for effective business strategy formulation and implementation. This study explores the efficacy of implementing VR simulations as an innovative pedagogical tool to improve learning outcomes in business strategy courses. The primary aim is to evaluate whether virtual reality environments can significantly enhance students’ strategic thinking, decision-making capabilities, and overall academic performance compared to conventional teaching methods. The specific objectives are (1) to develop a VR simulation module that accurately replicates realistic strategic management scenarios, (2) to assess students' engagement levels and motivation when using VR-based learning tools versus traditional case studies, (3) to measure the impact of VR simulations on students’ strategic decision-making skills, and (4) to analyze the perceptions of students and instructors regarding the usability and pedagogical value of VR technology in business strategy education. The research employs a mixed-methods, quasi-experimental design involving a sample of 200 postgraduate business students enrolled in strategic management courses at a large, urban university. The sample is purposively divided into two groups an intervention group utilizing the VR simulation alongside traditional instruction and a control group receiving only conventional teaching methods.
