Abstract
Climate change is a pressing global issue that has significant implications for biodiversity and ecosystems worldwide. In this study, we investigate the effects of climate change on the behavior and distribution of a specific species of bird - the Scarlet Tanager (Piranga olivacea). This research aims to provide valuable insights into how climate change is impacting the ecological dynamics of this bird species and to contribute to the broader understanding of the effects of climate change on avian populations. The study begins with a comprehensive review of existing literature on climate change impacts on bird species, focusing on behavioral responses and distribution shifts. This literature review forms the basis for understanding the current state of knowledge in the field and identifying gaps that this research seeks to address. Methodologically, this study employs a combination of field observations, species distribution modeling, and statistical analyses to assess how climate change is influencing the behavior and distribution of Scarlet Tanagers. Field observations will be conducted in various habitats to document changes in behavior such as nesting patterns, foraging strategies, and vocalizations. Species distribution modeling will be used to predict changes in the geographical range of the Scarlet Tanager under different climate change scenarios. Statistical analyses will be applied to quantify the relationship between climate variables and bird behavior and distribution patterns. The findings of this study are expected to reveal important insights into the adaptive responses of the Scarlet Tanager to changing environmental conditions.
