Thesis Overview

The project titled "Assessment of Urban Green Space Accessibility and Equity in a Growing City" aims to investigate and evaluate the accessibility and equity of urban green spaces within a rapidly expanding city environment. The study focuses on understanding the distribution, quality, and availability of green spaces to different population groups, with the objective of identifying potential disparities and recommending strategies for enhancing equitable access to these vital urban amenities. Urban green spaces play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for urban residents by providing opportunities for recreation, relaxation, social interaction, and physical activity. However, disparities in the distribution and accessibility of green spaces can contribute to social inequalities and environmental injustices within cities. As cities continue to grow and develop, it is essential to assess and address these disparities to ensure that all residents have equal access to the benefits of green spaces.
