Urban green spaces play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being and health of individuals within metropolitan areas. This thesis investigates the impact of urban green spaces on community health and well-being in a specific metropolitan area. The study aims to explore the relationship between access to and quality of green spaces and various aspects of community health and well-being. Through a comprehensive literature review, the research examines existing theories, studies, and frameworks related to urban green spaces, community health, and well-being. The methodology involves a mixed-methods approach, including surveys, interviews, and observational studies to gather data on community perceptions, behaviors, and health outcomes related to urban green spaces. The findings from the study are analyzed and discussed in detail, highlighting the positive effects of urban green spaces on physical health, mental well-being, social interactions, and overall quality of life in the metropolitan area. The results also identify potential challenges and limitations in the current urban green space planning and management practices. The conclusion reflects on the significance of urban green spaces as essential components of urban planning and provides recommendations for policymakers, urban planners, and community stakeholders to optimize the benefits of green spaces for community health and well-being.
