Transit-oriented development (TOD) has emerged as a planning strategy to address these challenges by promoting compact, mixed-use developments integrated with public transportation networks. This thesis investigates the impact of TOD on urban mobility patterns to understand how it influences travel behavior, modal choice, and overall transportation efficiency. The study begins with an exploration of the theoretical framework surrounding TOD and its potential benefits in reducing car dependency, promoting active transportation modes, and enhancing accessibility within urban areas. Through a comprehensive literature review, key concepts related to urban mobility, transportation planning, and sustainable development are analyzed to provide a solid foundation for the research.
