Thesis Abstract
The role of office environment in workers productivity is a critical aspect of organizational performance. This research project focuses on evaluating the impact of office environment on the productivity of workers in establishments located in Owerri, Imo state. The study aims to explore how various factors within the office environment such as lighting, temperature, noise levels, layout, and ergonomic design influence employee performance and job satisfaction. A mixed-methods approach will be employed, combining both quantitative and qualitative research methods. The quantitative aspect will involve the distribution of structured questionnaires to employees in selected establishments to gather data on their perception of the office environment and its impact on their productivity. The qualitative aspect will involve conducting semi-structured interviews with managers and supervisors to gain deeper insights into their perspectives on the relationship between office environment and worker productivity. The findings of this study will provide valuable insights for organizations in Owerri, Imo state on how to design and manage their office environments to enhance employee productivity. By understanding the specific factors that influence worker performance, organizations can make informed decisions to create a conducive work environment that fosters higher productivity levels and employee satisfaction.
