Abstract
This study aims to investigate the effect of modern office automation on the productivity of secretaries in government parastatals in Enugu State. The research will focus on examining how the implementation of modern office automation tools such as computer systems, software applications, electronic communication devices, and other technological advancements impact the efficiency and effectiveness of secretarial functions in government parastatals. The study will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Data will be collected through surveys, interviews, and observations to gather insights from secretaries working in government parastatals in Enugu State. The quantitative data will be analyzed using statistical tools to determine the correlation between the use of modern office automation tools and the productivity levels of secretaries. On the other hand, qualitative data will be analyzed thematically to provide a deeper understanding of the experiences and perceptions of secretaries regarding the impact of office automation on their work.
