The adoption of an EDMS offers a solution to these challenges by providing a digital platform for storing, organizing, and managing documents in a systematic and secure manner. Chapter One of the thesis provides an introduction to the study, highlighting the background of the research, the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and the structure of the thesis. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review on electronic document management systems, efficiency in secretarial administration, benefits of EDMS implementation, challenges, and best practices in the field.
