Digital tools are increasingly deployed within multinational firms to streamline secretarial functions amid complex regulatory, cultural, and operational environments. Yet, there is limited empirical understanding of how digital tool adoption translates into measurable secretary-level efficiency across diverse corporate contexts. The study aims to quantify the impact of digital tools on secretarial efficiency in multinational firms and to identify the moderating roles of organizational culture, training quality, and task complexity. Specific objectives are (1) to assess the relationship between digital tool usage (calendar management, document automation, communication platforms, and workflow systems) and secretarial efficiency; (2) to examine how training and organizational culture influence the effectiveness of digital tool adoption; (3) to evaluate differences in efficiency gains across regional offices and hierarchical levels; and (4) to propose a validated framework linking digital tool characteristics to secretarial performance outcomes. The research adopts a cross-sectional, mixed-methods design grounded in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Resource-Based View (RBV) to capture both perceptual and performance-based indicators of efficiency. The population comprises secretaries and executive assistants employed in 60 multinational firms spanning manufacturing, services, and technology sectors across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. A stratified random sample of 360 respondents is planned, with proportional representation from regional hubs and corporate headquarters. The main conclusion is that strategic, well-supported deployment of integrated digital tools, accompanied by targeted training and a supportive culture, substantially enhances secretarial efficiency in multinational organizations. Recommendations include investing in end-to-end tool integration, standardized training programs, region-specific implementation plans, and ongoing performance monitoring to sustain efficiency gains beyond initial adoption.
