Abstract
The role of secretaries in business organizations cannot be overstated as they play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the workplace. This study aims to investigate the job prospects of secretaries in selected business organizations in Enugu State, Nigeria. The research will employ a mixed-methods approach to gather data from both qualitative and quantitative sources. Interviews will be conducted with secretaries working in various organizations to understand their job responsibilities, challenges faced, and career growth opportunities. Additionally, surveys will be distributed to employers and human resource managers to gather insights into the demand for secretarial positions, required skills, and future job prospects. The findings of this study will contribute to the existing literature on secretarial work and provide valuable insights for both aspiring secretaries and organizations looking to hire secretarial staff. By understanding the current job market for secretaries in Enugu State, stakeholders can make informed decisions regarding recruitment, training, and career development for secretarial positions.
