The phenomenon of globalization has brought about significant changes in various aspects of human life, including traditional religious practices and beliefs. This thesis explores the impact of globalization on traditional religious practices and beliefs, focusing on how the interconnectedness and interdependence of societies worldwide have influenced the ways in which individuals engage with and perceive their religious traditions. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature, this study examines the challenges and opportunities that globalization presents to traditional religious practices and beliefs, considering factors such as cultural exchange, technological advancements, migration, and the spread of information. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, including a background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the thesis. It also defines key terms relevant to the study. Chapter Two presents a detailed literature review comprising ten key themes related to the impact of globalization on traditional religious practices and beliefs. These themes include the homogenization vs. diversification of religious practices, the role of media and technology in shaping religious narratives, and the implications of migration and multiculturalism on religious identity.
