The transition from traditional film-based radiography to digital radiography (DR) systems represents a significant technological advancement with the potential to enhance diagnostic accuracy, operational efficiency, and patient safety within hospital radiology departments. Despite the widespread adoption of DR systems, its implementation challenges, impacts on workflow, image quality, and staff competency remain areas requiring systematic evaluation. This study focuses on assessing the implementation of digital radiography within Symington Hospital's Radiology Department, aiming to identify factors affecting successful integration and to evaluate its effects on service delivery and clinical outcomes.
