Performance evaluation is crucial in assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of public sector organizations. This comparative study aims to analyze and compare the performance evaluation mechanisms employed by different public sector organizations to identify best practices and areas for improvement. The research focuses on understanding the methods, tools, and indicators used in evaluating the performance of public sector organizations in different countries. Through a comprehensive literature review, various performance evaluation models and frameworks will be explored to provide a theoretical foundation for the study. The research methodology involves a mixed-method approach, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques. Surveys, interviews, and document analysis will be conducted to gather data on the performance evaluation practices of selected public sector organizations. The study will also explore the challenges and limitations faced by these organizations in conducting performance evaluations, as well as the impact of performance evaluation on organizational decision-making and accountability. The findings of the study will be presented and discussed in detail in Chapter Four, providing insights into the strengths and weaknesses of current performance evaluation practices in public sector organizations. By comparing the different approaches used by these organizations, the study aims to identify best practices that can be adopted to enhance performance evaluation processes and outcomes. In conclusion, the significance of this study lies in its potential to contribute to the improvement of performance evaluation practices in public sector organizations.
