In recent years, the advancement of technology has significantly transformed the way governments interact with their citizens. The implementation of E-Government initiatives has become a crucial component in enhancing citizen engagement in public administration. This research project delves into the impact of E-Government initiatives on citizen engagement within the realm of public administration. The study aims to explore how these initiatives influence the level of citizen participation, collaboration, and satisfaction with government services. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. The chapter sets the foundation for understanding the importance of E-Government initiatives in enhancing citizen engagement. Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive literature review that examines existing studies, theories, and frameworks related to E-Government initiatives and citizen engagement. The review covers ten key areas such as the evolution of E-Government, models of citizen engagement, benefits and challenges of E-Government, and best practices for effective citizen participation. Chapter 3 focuses on the research methodology employed in this study.
