Thesis Abstract

Abstract
The national policy on education in Nigeria has a significant impact on the teaching and learning process in secondary schools across the country. This study aims to explore the effects of the national policy on education on the teaching and learning of government in Nigerian secondary schools. The research will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods to gather comprehensive insights. The study will focus on examining how the national policy on education influences the curriculum design and content of the government subject in secondary schools. It will investigate the alignment between the policy guidelines and the actual implementation in the classroom setting.
