In the contemporary era of digital transformation, governments worldwide are increasingly adopting E-Government platforms to enhance service delivery and engage citizens in public administration processes. This thesis aims to assess the impact of E-Government platforms on citizen engagement in public administration. The study delves into the background of E-Government initiatives, the problem of citizen engagement, and the objectives of utilizing these platforms. It also explores the limitations and scope of the study, highlighting the significance of understanding the relationship between E-Government platforms and citizen engagement in fostering transparency, accountability, and participatory governance. Chapter one provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting an overview of E-Government platforms, the need for citizen engagement in public administration, and the rationale for this study. The background of the study elucidates the evolution of E-Government initiatives and the growing importance of citizen participation in governance. The problem statement identifies the challenges faced in promoting effective citizen engagement through E-Government platforms, setting the stage for the research objectives that seek to investigate the impact of these platforms on enhancing citizen involvement and satisfaction.
