This thesis investigates the impact of e-government initiatives on service delivery in local governments. The study aims to analyze how the implementation of e-government systems influences the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of services provided to citizens at the local level. The research is motivated by the growing importance of digital technologies in transforming traditional public administration processes and enhancing citizen-government interactions. The study focuses on understanding the challenges and opportunities associated with the adoption of e-government initiatives in local government settings. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the thesis. The chapter also defines key terms relevant to the study to establish a common understanding of the concepts under investigation. In Chapter Two, a comprehensive literature review is conducted to examine existing research on e-government initiatives and their impact on service delivery in local governments.
