The resilience of college students is increasingly recognized as a vital determinant of academic success, psychological well-being, and adaptive functioning amidst the multifaceted challenges of higher education environments. Despite this growing awareness, existing assessment frameworks predominantly focus on unidimensional or narrowly defined aspects of resilience, thereby limiting comprehensive understanding and targeted intervention strategies. This study aims to develop, validate, and empirically test a multidimensional framework for assessing resilience in college students to address this significant gap in resilience research. The specific objectives include (1) identifying key dimensions of resilience relevant to college students through an extensive review of literature and expert consultations; (2) constructing a comprehensive measurement instrument; (3) evaluating the psychometric properties of the instrument; and (4) empirically examining the relationship between the identified resilience dimensions and academic performance, mental health outcomes, and coping strategies.
