Abstract
This thesis explores the effectiveness of tele-rehabilitation in improving functional outcomes for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. The use of tele-rehabilitation has gained significant attention in recent years due to its potential to overcome barriers to traditional in-person rehabilitation services. The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of tele-rehabilitation on functional outcomes, such as pain management, range of motion, strength, and overall quality of life for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. The literature review provides a comprehensive analysis of existing studies on tele-rehabilitation and its application in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Ten key themes emerged from the literature review, including the benefits and challenges of tele-rehabilitation, patient satisfaction, adherence to treatment, technology requirements, and effectiveness compared to traditional in-person rehabilitation. The research methodology section outlines the study design, participant selection criteria, data collection methods, and outcome measures. The study will include a sample of patients with musculoskeletal conditions who will receive tele-rehabilitation services over a specified period. Data will be collected using standardized assessment tools, patient-reported outcomes, and qualitative interviews to evaluate the impact of tele-rehabilitation on functional outcomes. The findings from the study will be presented and discussed in Chapter Four, highlighting the effects of tele-rehabilitation on pain management, range of motion, strength, and overall quality of life for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. The discussion will also explore the potential barriers and limitations of tele-rehabilitation and provide recommendations for future research and clinical practice. In conclusion, this thesis contributes to the growing body of evidence supporting the effectiveness of tele-rehabilitation in improving functional outcomes for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
