Abstract
This thesis explores the application of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques in mature oil fields to maximize oil production. It examines the challenges faced in mature oil fields, such as declining production rates and reservoir complexity, and investigates various EOR methods that can be employed to enhance oil recovery efficiency. The study focuses on the analysis of the effectiveness of EOR techniques, including chemical, thermal, and gas injection methods, in revitalizing mature oil fields. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review to gather relevant data on EOR techniques and their applications in mature oil fields. Various case studies and field examples are analyzed to understand the practical implementation and outcomes of EOR projects in mature reservoirs. Additionally, reservoir simulation models are used to evaluate the impact of different EOR methods on oil recovery rates and reservoir performance.
