Thesis Abstract

This study is aimed at determining the relevance of Industrial Work Experience on student in Office Technology and Management of Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic Bori. Data were collected with the aid of questionnaire which is one of the acceptable means of collecting primary data. Data were also analyzed using tables and percentages. Based on the findings it was concluded that the students could perform better after graduation if they receive adequate work experience from industries during their one year industrial training, if employer will accept and provide student with any available machine and equipment, the student will be able to carry out their duties effectively, it is recommended that SIWES unit of institution should constantly enlighten students on the importance of the SIWES scheme, SIWES unit of institution should endeavour to source and post students to organizations that are in need of IT students in order to reduce the rate of rejection of IT student by organizations.
