Abstract
Modern communication equipment has significantly impacted the job performance of secretaries in various business organizations. This research project aimed to explore the contributions of modern communication tools to the efficiency and effectiveness of secretaries in their roles. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, including surveys and interviews with secretaries from different sectors to gather data on their use of communication equipment and its impact on their job performance. The findings revealed that modern communication equipment, such as smartphones, email systems, video conferencing tools, and instant messaging platforms, has played a crucial role in enhancing the job performance of secretaries. These tools have facilitated quick and efficient communication within the organization and with external stakeholders, leading to improved coordination, collaboration, and productivity. Secretaries reported that they were able to respond to inquiries promptly, schedule meetings efficiently, and coordinate tasks effectively using these communication tools. Furthermore, the study identified several key benefits of modern communication equipment for secretaries, including increased flexibility in managing tasks, improved accessibility to information, enhanced time management, and the ability to multitask effectively. Secretaries also noted that these tools have enabled them to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and communicate more effectively with colleagues and clients. However, the research also uncovered some challenges associated with the use of modern communication equipment by secretaries, such as information overload, distractions from constant notifications, and difficulties in maintaining work-life balance. Some secretaries expressed concerns about the potential negative impact of technology on face-to-face communication skills and personal interactions in the workplace. Overall, the study highlighted the significant contributions of modern communication equipment to the job performance of secretaries in contemporary business organizations. By leveraging these tools effectively, secretaries can streamline their tasks, improve communication efficiency, and enhance their overall productivity. However, it is essential for organizations to provide adequate training and support to help secretaries harness the full potential of modern communication equipment while mitigating the challenges associated with its use.
Thesis Overview
<p>The purpose of this study is to investigate human relations skills in the job performance of secretaries with new Nigeria bank, Uchi Community bank all in Auchi as case study. Questionnaire were used to collected data from a total of fifty respondents made up of twenty five official staff and twenty five non official staff of the bank covered. The simple percentage method was used in analyzing the data collected from the respondents based on the responses from the questionnaires. This study revealed that good human relation is a motivator of workers towards job performance and productivity. It also revealed that there is no positive relationship if there are no good human relations. Since situations some times change, if good human relations is not done in the bank, there will be difficulties in getting the best out of the workers. Based on the study of the findings, appropriate recommendations were made. <br><br><br></p>
