Abstract
The emergence of multidrug-resistant bacteria poses a significant threat to public health worldwide, as it limits the effectiveness of conventional antibiotics. In response to this challenge, the present study aimed to investigate the antimicrobial potential of natural compounds against multidrug-resistant bacteria. The research involved the screening of various natural compounds for their antimicrobial activity against a panel of multidrug-resistant bacterial strains, including both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The study utilized a combination of in vitro assays to evaluate the antibacterial efficacy of the natural compounds, along with mechanisms of action studies to elucidate their mode of action. The literature review section provided a comprehensive overview of the current state of antibiotic resistance, the mechanisms underlying multidrug resistance in bacteria, and the potential of natural compounds as alternative antimicrobial agents.
