The emergence of multi-drug resistant bacteria poses a significant threat to public health globally, necessitating the exploration of alternative treatment options. Herbal extracts have long been recognized for their potential antibacterial properties, and this study aims to investigate their effectiveness against multi-drug resistant bacteria. The research methodology involved the screening of various herbal extracts for their antibacterial activity through in vitro experiments. The results of the study revealed promising antibacterial properties in several herbal extracts, demonstrating their potential as alternative treatment options for multi-drug resistant bacteria. This thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the study. The literature review delves into ten key studies exploring the antibacterial properties of herbal extracts.
