This thesis explores the implementation of POCT in rural healthcare settings with the aim of improving diagnosis and treatment outcomes. The study investigates the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and definition of terms related to the implementation of POCT in rural areas. The literature review in Chapter Two examines ten key aspects related to POCT, including its benefits, challenges, implementation strategies, cost implications, quality control measures, training requirements, regulatory considerations, technological advancements, impact on patient outcomes, and global trends. This comprehensive review provides a foundation for understanding the current landscape and best practices in POCT implementation. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, including the research design, sampling methods, data collection techniques, data analysis procedures, ethical considerations, and limitations.
