The study explores how code-switching affects the development of language skills in children who are exposed to multiple languages from a young age. By examining existing literature on code-switching and language acquisition, as well as conducting primary research with multilingual children, this thesis seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between code-switching and language development. Chapter One of the thesis provides an introduction to the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two presents a detailed literature review that examines previous research on code-switching, language acquisition, and bilingualism in children.
