The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in library services presents significant opportunities for improving information access, user experience, and operational efficiency. This thesis explores the application of AI in enhancing library services through a case study approach. The research investigates how AI tools and techniques can be leveraged to address the evolving needs of library users and staff, ultimately leading to a more effective and user-centric library environment. The study begins by providing an overview of the background of AI in library services, highlighting the growing interest and adoption of AI technologies in the library sector. It identifies the problem statement related to the challenges faced by libraries in meeting user expectations and adapting to the digital age. The objectives of the study are outlined to investigate the potential benefits, challenges, and implications of integrating AI in library services. A comprehensive literature review is conducted to explore existing research, case studies, and best practices related to AI applications in libraries. The review covers ten key areas, including AI technologies in information retrieval, user recommendation systems, natural language processing, and data analytics in library settings.
