Thesis Abstract

Abstract
This research project focuses on the restructuring of access on library web pages to the library’s programs, services, and collections based on the frequency of use rather than the traditional organizational structure or alphabetical arrangement. The aim of this study is to enhance user experience and improve accessibility to library resources by prioritizing the most frequently accessed items on the library website. By analyzing usage data and user behavior patterns, the research seeks to identify the most popular services and collections among library patrons and reorganize the website navigation accordingly. The traditional approach to organizing library websites often follows the library’s internal structure, which may not necessarily align with the needs and preferences of users. By shifting the focus to the frequency of use, libraries can better cater to the demands of their patrons and streamline access to the most sought-after resources. This user-centered approach aims to make it easier for library users to locate and access the services and materials they need quickly and efficiently. In this research project, data will be collected on the usage patterns of the library’s website, including the number of visits to different pages, search queries, and resource downloads. By analyzing this data, the research aims to identify the most popular programs, services, and collections within the library. These findings will then inform the restructuring of the website navigation to prioritize these high-demand items, making them more prominent and easily accessible to users. By reorganizing the library website based on the frequency of use, this research project seeks to improve user satisfaction and engagement with library resources. By aligning the website structure with user preferences and behaviors, libraries can enhance the overall user experience and ensure that patrons can easily find and access the resources they need. Ultimately, the goal of this research is to optimize access to library programs, services, and collections by prioritizing the most frequently used items, thereby improving the usability and effectiveness of the library website.
