This thesis explores the implementation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology in Library Management Systems (LMS) and its impact on library operations and services. RFID technology has gained popularity in various industries for its ability to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve user experience. However, its adoption in libraries has been relatively slow compared to other sectors. This study aims to investigate the benefits, challenges, and implications of integrating RFID technology into library operations. The research begins with a comprehensive review of literature on RFID technology and its applications in libraries. The literature review covers topics such as the history of RFID technology, its components and functionality, previous studies on RFID implementation in libraries, and the potential advantages and disadvantages of using RFID in library settings.
