The selection of textbooks and reference books in libraries is crucial for supporting the information needs of users. This research project focuses on evaluating the various tools available for selecting textbooks and reference books in libraries. The study assesses the effectiveness, reliability, and user-friendliness of different selection tools, including online databases, book review sources, and librarian recommendations. By examining the strengths and limitations of these tools, the research aims to provide insights into how librarians can improve their book selection processes to better meet the needs of library users. The research methodology involves a comprehensive review of the existing literature on textbook and reference book selection in libraries. This includes studies on collection development, book selection criteria, and user preferences.
