This thesis investigates the impact of globalization on state sovereignty in the 21st century. Globalization, characterized by the increasing interconnectedness and interdependence of nations, has raised questions about the extent to which states can maintain their sovereignty in a globalized world. The study explores the challenges and opportunities that globalization presents for state sovereignty, focusing on how economic, political, and social factors influence the ability of states to exercise authority within their borders and on the international stage. The research begins by providing an overview of the historical background of state sovereignty and the evolution of globalization, highlighting key theoretical frameworks that have shaped discussions on these concepts. The literature review delves into various perspectives on the impact of globalization on state sovereignty, examining how economic globalization, technological advancements, and transnational actors have reshaped the traditional understanding of state authority. Methodologically, this study employs a qualitative approach, drawing on a combination of primary and secondary sources to analyze the multifaceted dimensions of state sovereignty in the context of globalization. Interviews with policymakers, experts, and scholars provide valuable insights into the practical implications of globalization on state sovereignty, while case studies offer in-depth analyses of specific examples from different regions of the world.
