This thesis examines the significant role that non-state actors play in influencing and shaping international relations. In recent times, non-state actors such as multinational corporations, non-governmental organizations, terrorist groups, and international organizations have become increasingly influential in the global political landscape. The study seeks to explore the various ways in which these actors impact international relations, both positively and negatively, and the implications of their actions on state sovereignty and global governance. The research begins with an introduction that outlines the background of the study, presents the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance of the study, and the structure of the thesis. Chapter Two provides a comprehensive literature review that examines existing theories and empirical studies related to non-state actors in international relations.
