The proliferation of remote work arrangements, accelerated by global technological advancements and recent public health crises, has significantly transformed organizational practices and employee management strategies. Despite its widespread adoption, there remains limited empirical evidence on how remote work influences key organizational outcomes such as employee engagement and productivity. This study aims to systematically examine the impact of remote work on these two critical variables, with particular focus on identifying underlying mechanisms and contextual factors that modulate this relationship. The overall objective is to provide evidence-based insights to inform organizational policies and human resource strategies. Specifically, the study seeks to (1) assess the relationship between remote work frequency and levels of employee engagement; (2) determine the influence of remote work on employee productivity; (3) explore moderating factors such as organizational support, communication satisfaction, and individual work-life balance; and (4) contribute to theoretical understanding by testing the applicability of the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) model and Self-Determination Theory in remote work contexts. The research adopts a mixed-methods approach, integrating quantitative and qualitative data to enhance the robustness of findings. The quantitative phase employs a cross-sectional survey design targeting a population of 500 employees working remotely across diverse industries within the manufacturing and service sectors.
