This thesis investigates the impact of emotional intelligence (EI) on employee performance within the context of a multinational corporation. The study focuses on understanding how EI influences employee performance and productivity in the workplace setting. The research methodology employed a qualitative case study approach within a specific multinational corporation to explore the relationship between EI and employee performance. Data was collected through interviews, surveys, and observation techniques to gather insights from employees and managers. The findings suggest a positive correlation between EI and employee performance, indicating that individuals with higher levels of emotional intelligence tend to exhibit better performance outcomes. The study also identifies key factors that contribute to the development of EI, such as self-awareness, self-regulation, social skills, empathy, and motivation. The implications of the research highlight the importance of incorporating EI training and development programs within organizations to enhance employee performance and overall productivity.
