Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of probiotics supplementation on gut microbiota composition and its influence on metabolic health in individuals diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. The study explores the potential therapeutic role of probiotics in mitigating the metabolic disturbances associated with diabetes by modulating the gut microbiota. The research methodology involved a randomized controlled trial with a sample of participants diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, who were provided with probiotics supplementation over a specified period. The gut microbiota composition was analyzed using advanced sequencing techniques before and after the intervention to assess changes resulting from probiotics supplementation. Additionally, various metabolic health parameters such as blood glucose levels, insulin sensitivity, lipid profile, and inflammatory markers were measured to evaluate the impact of probiotics on metabolic health outcomes in individuals with Type 2 Diabetes. The findings of this study contribute to the growing body of evidence on the potential benefits of probiotics in managing metabolic health conditions, particularly in individuals with Type 2 Diabetes. This research provides valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying the relationship between gut microbiota, probiotics supplementation, and metabolic health, offering potential implications for the development of personalized nutritional interventions for individuals with Type 2 Diabetes.
