Abstract
Fibrinogen is a crucial protein involved in blood coagulation and wound healing processes. This research project aimed to investigate the biochemical effects of fibrinogen on various physiological pathways. Through a series of in vitro experiments, we analyzed the interactions of fibrinogen with different enzymes and signaling molecules. Our results revealed that fibrinogen can modulate the activity of key enzymes involved in coagulation, such as thrombin and factor XIII. Additionally, we found that fibrinogen plays a role in mediating immune responses by interacting with immune cells and modulating cytokine production. Furthermore, our data suggest that fibrinogen may have implications in inflammatory processes through its ability to activate certain signaling pathways in endothelial cells. Overall, our study provides valuable insights into the diverse biochemical effects of fibrinogen, highlighting its multifaceted role beyond blood clotting.
