Abstract
This research project examines the "Scramble for Africa," a period of intense European imperialist expansion and colonization in the 19th century. Through an extensive literature review, the historical context, causes, and consequences of European imperialism in Africa are explored. The research methodology employs a multidisciplinary approach, combining historical analysis, geopolitical studies, and postcolonial theory to investigate the mechanisms of colonial conquest, the imposition of colonial rule, and the resistance of African societies. By examining the economic, political, and social impacts of European imperialism on Africa, the study aims to shed light on the enduring legacies of colonialism and their implications for contemporary African development and global relations.
