Abstract
This research project explores the Age of Exploration, a pivotal period in world history marked by European maritime expansion and global encounters. Through an in-depth literature review, the project examines the economic, political, religious, and technological motivations driving European explorers to venture into unknown territories. The research methodology incorporates analysis of primary sources, including travel accounts, maps, and navigational instruments, to trace the voyages and discoveries of explorers such as Columbus, Magellan, and Vasco da Gama. The study also explores the consequences of exploration, including colonization, cultural exchange, and the shaping of global interconnectedness. By contextualizing the Age of Exploration within broader historical frameworks, the project aims to deepen understanding of its significance and enduring impact on contemporary geopolitics and intercultural relations.
