The increasing prevalence of physical inactivity among adolescents represents a significant public health concern globally, with variations observed across different geographical settings. This study investigates the differences in physical activity levels between urban and rural adolescents, aiming to identify key factors influencing these disparities and inform targeted intervention strategies. The primary objective is to compare the frequency, intensity, and types of physical activities engaged in by adolescents aged 13 to 19 years living in urban and rural areas. Specific goals include examining socio-economic, environmental, and psychosocial determinants of physical activity and assessing the moderating effects of gender and age on these relationships. The study adopts a cross-sectional comparative design, grounded in the Social Ecological Theory, which emphasizes the multi-layered influences on adolescent behavior.
