Thesis Abstract
Abstract
This study aims to investigate the therapeutic effects of group counseling on the study habit problems of secondary school students. The research will focus on exploring how group counseling can help address study habit difficulties commonly faced by students in secondary school. The study will involve a sample of secondary school students who exhibit study habit problems such as procrastination, lack of organization, poor time management, and difficulty concentrating. Group counseling sessions will be conducted regularly over a specified period, during which students will engage in discussions, activities, and exercises aimed at improving their study habits. The effectiveness of the group counseling intervention will be assessed through pre- and post-intervention evaluations, as well as follow-up assessments to determine the long-term impact of the intervention. The research will employ both qualitative and quantitative methods to gather data, including surveys, interviews, and observations. Qualitative data will be analyzed thematically to identify patterns and themes related to the students' experiences with group counseling and changes in their study habits. Quantitative data, on the other hand, will be analyzed using statistical methods to measure the effectiveness of the group counseling intervention in improving study habits. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the existing literature on counseling interventions for secondary school students and provide insights into the therapeutic effects of group counseling on study habit problems. The research aims to highlight the importance of addressing study habit difficulties early on in students' academic careers to promote academic success and overall well-being. Overall, this study seeks to demonstrate the potential benefits of group counseling as a therapeutic intervention for improving study habits among secondary school students. By addressing study habit problems through group counseling, students can develop essential skills and strategies to enhance their learning experience and academic performance. The research findings will have implications for educators, counselors, and policymakers in developing effective interventions to support students in overcoming study habit challenges and achieving academic success.
