Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of mindfulness-based interventions on stress and anxiety levels in college students through a randomized controlled trial. The study aims to contribute to the growing body of research on the efficacy of mindfulness practices in promoting mental well-being among young adults. The research design involves a randomized controlled trial where college students are randomly assigned to either a mindfulness intervention group or a control group. The intervention group will participate in a structured mindfulness program, while the control group will receive no intervention. Pre- and post-intervention assessments will be conducted to measure changes in stress and anxiety levels using standardized psychological measures. Additionally, qualitative data will be collected through interviews to gain insights into the subjective experiences of participants. The findings of this study have the potential to provide valuable information on the effectiveness of mindfulness-based interventions in reducing stress and anxiety levels among college students. Implications for counseling and guidance practices in educational settings will be discussed, and recommendations for future research will be provided.
