Thesis Abstract

Abstract
Sexual harassment is a pervasive issue in educational settings, with significant impacts on students' well-being and academic performance. This research project aims to investigate the relationship between sexual harassment and the academic performance of students in public colleges of education. The study will utilize a mixed-methods approach, combining surveys and interviews to gather data from students in different colleges of education. The quantitative phase of the research will involve distributing surveys to a sample of students to assess the prevalence of sexual harassment experiences and their perceived impact on academic performance. The surveys will also collect data on students' knowledge of policies and support services related to sexual harassment within their institutions. Statistical analysis will be conducted to examine the correlation between experiences of sexual harassment and academic outcomes. In the qualitative phase, in-depth interviews will be conducted with a subset of students to provide a deeper understanding of their experiences with sexual harassment, coping mechanisms, and perceptions of institutional responses.
