Findings from the research reveal several key problems contributing to examination malpractice, including lack of ethical values among students, pressure to excel academically, inadequate invigilation during exams, and the availability of technology for cheating. Additionally, the study highlights the role of societal attitudes towards education, where success is often valued over the means of achieving it. Furthermore, the research explores the consequences of examination malpractice on students, institutions, and the society at large. Academic dishonesty not only erodes the quality of education but also diminishes the value of academic credentials. Moreover, the prevalence of cheating undermines the efforts of honest students and creates an unfair academic environment. The study also investigates the existing measures and strategies employed to prevent examination malpractice in tertiary institutions.
