Thesis Abstract

Abstract

The demand for sustainable food preservation methods is increasing due to concerns about food safety, environmental impact, and economic efficiency. This project explores the utilization of novel biotechnological approaches for sustainable food preservation. Various advanced techniques such as bacteriophage-based antimicrobial agents, bioactive packaging materials, and microbial fermentation are investigated for their potential to extend the shelf-life of perishable food products while maintaining safety, quality, and nutritional value. The project aims to contribute to reducing food waste and promoting sustainability in the food industry.
