The integration of digital media into contemporary visual art practice has emerged as a significant paradigm shift, transforming artistic expression and audience engagement within the broader art ecosystem. Despite the proliferation of digital technologies and their increasing adoption by artists, a cohesive theoretical framework that guides effective incorporation of digital media into artistic processes remains underdeveloped. This study addresses the critical need to establish a structured model that articulates the principles, strategies, and pedagogical considerations for integrating digital media into visual art practices, thereby enhancing the theoretical and practical understanding in this domain. The primary aim of the research is to develop a comprehensive, contextually relevant framework to facilitate the seamless integration of digital media into contemporary visual art practices. To achieve this aim, the study sets out specific objectives (1) to analyze the current state of digital media usage among contemporary visual artists; (2) to identify key factors influencing successful integration; (3) to examine theoretical perspectives underpinning digital art practices; (4) to formulate a conceptual model that delineates the stages and strategies for integration; and (5) to validate the proposed framework through empirical application and expert evaluation. Employing a mixed-methods research design, the study integrates qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis approaches. The quantitative component involves a survey administered to a sample of 150 practicing contemporary visual artists selected via stratified random sampling from major art communities in metropolitan regions. The survey instrument measures variables such as technological proficiency, digital tool usage frequency, perceived barriers, and pedagogical backgrounds. The study contributes to knowledge by proposing a novel, empirically validated framework that articulates clear stages, strategies, and educational implications for integrating digital media into visual art practices. This framework aims to serve as a practical tool for artists, educators, and policymakers seeking to harness digital technologies effectively, fostering innovation in artistic creation and exhibition. Additionally, the research extends theoretical understanding by synthesizing existing models within an applied context, fostering a dialogue between technological advancement and artistic methodologies. In conclusion, this research underscores the importance of strategic integration of digital media in contemporary visual art and offers a workable framework to guide practitioners and educators. Recommendations include the development of targeted professional training programs, enhanced infrastructural support within art institutions, and further research to refine the framework across different cultural contexts. Future studies should explore longitudinal evaluations of digital media integration initiatives, as well as comparative analyses across diverse artistic practices to enhance the universality and adaptability of the proposed model. The findings are expected to significantly impact both theoretical discourse and practical applications, advancing a more inclusive and innovative digital art practice paradigm.
