Abstract
This study examines the impact of invasive species on native plant and animal communities in [location]. Three invasive plant species—Japanese knotweed, purple loosestrife, and multiflora rose—have become established in recent decades and are spreading rapidly. The project assesses the current distribution and density of these invaders and documents changes in biodiversity and ecosystem functions in invaded areas compared to non-invaded control sites. Results indicate significant reductions in native species richness, alterations to habitat structure, and cascading effects up the food chain. Management recommendations are provided to help control the spread and limit further negative impacts of invasive species in the region.
